A 50 degree temperature difference is what greeted me when I arrived back in New Hampshire on Monday. Rainy and 50 degrees. Clouds and grey. I spent the greater part of last week at the Fitness and Health Bloggers Conference (#FHBC12) in Aurora Colorado where the temperatures climbed to an airless 100 degrees. Returning from the conference (which I will blog about more soon) I was greeted by two overly enthusiastic children who toppled me to the ground with hugs and kisses and have proceed to run me ragged for the past few days (It’s wonderful to be wrapped around with so much love).
Feeling as though I have hardly had time to digest what I had learned at the Fitness and Health Bloggers Conference 2012 I needed to find the quiet and peace of a good hard run to find my equilibrium. The workout planned was an interval workout which I (and perhaps every other runner) have a love hate relationship with. Today however it was what I needed and what better place to do it than on the Kingdom Trails. Even though it was cool, the humidity was high and as I ran hard, challenging my pace I worked up a great sweat along the run.
Here is my workout form my Coach Denise Goode from The Sustainable Athlete:
- Planned Duration: 1:00
- dynamic warm-up
- 10 min gradual warm-up
- 5 x 7 min @ 7:45-8:00 pace with 2:00 easy in between
- 5 min cool down
